News: SoCal Forums Are On Lockdown!
Site infoALLCON,

Due to the recent influx of spambots on the forums, I have set the entire board to "Admin Approval Only". This means new registerees to the forums must be approved by an Admin before they can post.

I'll be blunt, I don't have the time, nor the interest to vett every single person that registers, and I'm not going to. All of the auto e-mails generated by someone registering here are going to be ignored. This forum can be read by anyone, even those not registered, so if you're a live person, and you want to be a part of this community, please contact us directly once you've registered here, and we will manually approve you. Yes this is only a temporary fix, but it's what we need until Lee can upgrade the forums or get a permanent solution in place.

To re-iterate for the ADD crowd, simply registering for the forums will not get you access. You need to contact us directly for approval before you can post.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Hopefully we can get this fixed soon!

Surveys: How has the economy impacted your airsofting?
Site infoIt's a well known fact that the economy is taking a huge dump. First thing everyone should sacrifice is luxury items... which sadly airsoff falls into. We're interested in seeing how the economy has effected you, the SoCal Airsofter. Please take the time and check out the survey.

News: More site outage. Server migration 8/29th
Site info*UPDATE 2*
Everything has moved over and things seems to be working fine. The DNS is now pointing to the new platform and could take upto 24 hours for your ISP to update their end. If you are reading this, your ISP has updated their DNS.

Things to do:
  • Finish updating the calendar
  • Redo the rules page and fields page. (rules will be first)
  • Upgrade the gallery (maybe)
  • Add IRC Chat (maybe)
Things already done:
  • Switch to new server platform
  • Upgrade the site's code. (mostly backend stuff)
  • Minor bug fixes
If you have any requests for new site features feel free to email me or post in the general forum.

-Lee

*UPDATE*

The site is currently migrating. You can access the site at the new server using this temp url while your ISP updates it's DNS:

http://mrsketch.powweb.com/

I will be migrating the site to a new server tomorrow. During that time the site will be down for around 2 hours for the Server swap and the DNS change. It will then take about 1 to 2 days for your host ISP to update their DNS to the new IP. During that time some of you will be looking at the site on the new platform and others on the old. So if your posts disappear that's most likely the reason why.

 News: OPSEC Airsoft Internet Radio
Site infoRadar writes "Remember when we used to have only 2 sources for airsoft news and a few local fields? Feel like you are out of the loop of all the cool stuffs thats going down in airsoft? Want a lower morgage, bigger penis, fuller breasts and $225mil from the prince of Nigeria in your bank account? Well... look no further! We have the inside scoop on all the hip on-goings in the SoCal scene... and now you will too!

Lice, Lemon and I will be broadcasting a weekly live internet radio show starting Saturday, Jan 28th at 7:00p PST (-8 GMT).

"But why? I hate cabbage and weiner dogs so much!"

Well, we are all fans of internet radio and figured that SoCal needs a comprehensive show of its own. Not national... not global... just for socal. Topics on stuffs we like, by local players, for local players. News, Field updates, reviews, hot links and lemonparties.

"But aren't you concerned about making an ass of yourself? I mean, I sure do.. just look at my M4."

Nope. Not as if I didn't do it 100X over at MSF when we had a scenario game. We honestly dont care if the public accepts it or not.. we are out to have a good time and if the public is warm on it.. rockin'... if not.. eat me.

"Ok.. you have convinced me.. what are the details? Oh, and would you deflower my 19yr old underpants model girlfriend as I am not man enough nor will I ever be?"

Details can be found at: http://www.opsecairsoft.com.

Our forums are up and running... all the specs on what to do, how to tune in and how you can participate is posted... read it before contact us. Seriously.

Warm Regards,
- Radar"
